Default trading in my 2005 ford f-150, i want a smaller truck such as a toyota tacoma but is it
worth trading? i have a 2005 ford f-150 flare side its in awesome shape and it has 100,000 miles i want either first a toyota tacoma or a ford ranger. Im doing this cause my f-150 gets terrible gas milage with a v8 i drive alot with sports and work i love tacomas and would love a standard but what im woundering is is it a good idea i hear tacomas are great trucks but how much better would i be getting on gas and how much loss of power would it be?

Trading to a v6 tacoma you will double your gas mileage. You will also see no loss in power. Toyota builds more powerful small engines.

You wouldn't notice a loss of power if your get the v6 Tacoma In Fact I'm pretty certain that the tacoma is faster (I drive one) but your also probably not going to see that much increase in gas mileage cause I think EPA claims like 22-23 highway and I have never seen that. Now if you get the 4 cylinder you will see an increase in mpg but you will then feel that pesky power loss.
