You need to figure out what kind of collision it was either front, rear, sides, etc and how bad the impact was. If this car rear ended someone most chances are you might have problems later down the road because of engine, chassis, alignment problems. If it was the rear you might have some luck but only if the impact was minor. The reason the seller is selling is because he doesnt want to own something that was salvaged regardless what there excuse may be which you might want to consider avoiding. Buying anything salvaged without knowing exactly what happened and how it was fixed may cause problems for you later down the road. Plus unless you have cash I dont think any bank will finance something that has a salvaged title or insurance companies giving you the option to have full coverage you might only get qualified for liability for a salvaged vehicle. It might be tempting to get something that has only 28K and still smells brand new but you got to know what exactly happened and see if everything was built solid so you dont have problems down the road. Best bet ask a lot of questions and ASK if the frame was bent if it was bent but fixed the car is basically worthless do not buy anything with a bent frame you will be sorry later on and I can tell you if the frame is bent that car isnt worth anything. Plus what hes asking you can get alot nicer car for 11K. My opinion move on and find something better even if its a couple years older and the miles are a bit higher.
