question about when Toyota changes your oil?

Default question about when Toyota changes your oil?
i own a 2010 scion tc















when i take my car to get an oil change do they check for the levels in my brake fluid level and cooland level and stuff like that too?















and what should i be checking regularly?















i dont know anything about this!!

It depends - some dealers, as well as places like Jiffy Lube, will usually do an inspection of fluid levels; some of them will add fluid if needed and not charge any more than what the price is for the oil/filter change; others will charge extra for adding needed fluids. You need to ask what their policy is

They have no reason to check the other fluids unless you ask them to. Of course its completely possible that they do, simply as a good gesture. It might be worthwhile to actually ask them this instead of the random people online.

A good Reputable service center will check these things If they fill them for free then good for you if not they should come to you and try to sell you those services. But you should be checking all your fluids regularly on your own. Especially Oil and coolant. if you have a trans dipstick check that to and its very easy to glance at your brake master cylinder to see if it is low. If you don't know how to check these things its very easy to check them all just get someone to show you how. You should check these things every couple of weeks at least.

A dealership does check these things. They can't afford to take a chance that say, the brake fluid was way low and you crashed after leaving their facility.































Obviously, you would sue them.































It's cheap insurance for them to do this small thing.

As a normal practice,I always check and top off transmission fluid,coolant,brake and power steering fluid after every oil change.No extra charge unless the added fluid is over a quart.
