You don't say what year Prius, but for the 2004-2009 you do it the way it says to in the owners manual:
1. Ensure that the odometer is not on one of the trip counters (in other words, the real odometer reading shows).
2. Power off the Prius.
3. Press and hold the ODO/TRIP button.
4. With foot off the brake, press the power button twice to get into IG-ON mode.
5. Watch the odometer as it cycles (this is similar to the fuel gauge after a fill).
6. When the odometer shows the miles again, release the ODO/TRIP button.
Hopefully, you used a real Toyota oil filter and changed the crush washer. Many oil filters don't have the same amount of filter material that the Toyota one does. Also not that it is very important not to overfill. Check the dipstick to be sure that the oil is not over the "overfill" mark. A bit under is just fine. There is about 1.5 qt between the low mark and the overfill mark.
