Default if driving in overdrive is okay, then why the drive option?
if driving in overdrive is okay, then what is the use of giving the option of drive mode, as overdrive mode does the both work for drive & overdrive.

when you are towing you should put in drive check your owners manual it tell you all you need to know

Besides towing drive (direct) is for driving on roads with lots of hills that would otherwise result in it downshifting to climb each one. It also provides better engine braking to keep your speed down while descending the other side, in this case it reduces brake and transmission wear and only increases fuel use a little.

Two words: "Rocky Mountains."































If you're going up a steep grade, overdrive is useless: you won't have enough scoot to make it up, and the car will downshift as needed.































If you're going *down* a steep grade, overdrive reduces engine braking, which is not so good if you're going too fast.
