i agree with all replies here.
but b4 you call the engine toast, pull the plugs, note position of each plug, (read 'em while you have them out), turn engine by hand/wrench to see if it's seized. obviously if she's frozen, you're done.
if she turns, put a known good bat in there. solve the starting issue. try not to spend any money. if she fires, stop. check all fluids, t-stat, water pump, fan function, and compression test to see if the head gasket is still good. looking for even pressures that are triple digits. solve the over heat issue.
then change all fluids and oil filter. if you didn't see a temp light, replace the engine temp sensor.
it won't be the first time an engine survives an over heating.
