You getting check engine light?
If so scan it and search what it means.
If not then it can be a number of problems.
Could be that it needs a Major tune up
Spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap, pcv valve.
when was the last time timing belt was changed?
Could be MAF Sensor?
could be Cam/Crank sensor?
could be Throttle body sensor?
could be a clogged fuel filter? This will not trigger CEL
could be bad Idle Air Control Valve? I highly doubt it since you can drive
If your not getting a CEL then it can be a very minor problem or a very major problem.
