2008 Yaris will not start, battery, lights etc all work, what to check?

Default 2008 Yaris will not start, battery, lights etc all work, what to check?
My 2008 Yaris has had no problems in the past, the car was parked over 1-1/2 days, now it will not start, turn over, all lights, air etc are working. One thing showing on dash lights is "p/s", what does that mean? What should I be looking for? Only Toyota shop can fix or can regular mechanic? Could it be starter (a first), a clogged fuel line, fuel pump or what. It is in Fargo, ND, and I am in IA, doesn't help, any help? Like HELP, answers and ideas, and I am on fixed income so money is important item

Are you or whoever is starting it using the key with the transponder in? The 'normal', old-type key won't start it. On that same theme, is the battery in the key dead?

When you attempt to start the car does it crank or do you hear clicking noise? If you hear clicking noise then I would have the battery checked to see if its dead. It could also be the starter but if you take both out and take it to Autozone they can test it for you and see if both or one of them is shot.
