Default Will a 1.2L engine fit an MR2?
I have always loved classic Toyota MR2, but the size of there engines make it un-economical to drive to and from work, and to big to insure. Is there any easy way to replace the original engine with a smaller engine, If so what engine would be suitable and what modifications would need to be made to acommidate for the swap.

This has got to be one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard of. For one thing the insurance company wont be able to insure your car for less because you put a smaller motor in it. Also a smaller motor doesn't always mean your going to get better gas mileage. It you put a 4 cylinder motor in a Hummer its still going to get crappy gas mileage because the motor has to work so much harder to move it. Finally the MR2 is a mid engine vehicle. you can't go putting any motor in a mid engine vehicle because you need to worry about proper cooling.
