Default 1999 Toyota Sienna Steering Wheel problems?
driving my van home today steering wheel was very tight. manageable to turn but with much difficulty. When I got out of the car I smelt some burning rubber. Anybody have any ideas? this has never happened to me in 12 years

It might be your power steering pump going out/rack and pinion.When this happen did you by any chance noticed when you turned your steering wheel. Say when you were making a left or right hand turn. If so was it harder to turn or not. Start you car leave it in park and turn the steering wheel in both directions and listen for a noise. Check the power steering pump to see if it is low, see if the belt is off, check for leaks and etc.
