THIS WAS not a good car new, it had a lot of problems, the chief one being that wierd mid engine design that turned out to be not so good, difficult to work on and had transmission problems, they stopped making them years ago, parts are hard to find and you want to get rid of a good motor and put one with a turbo, do you want to spend more than the car is worth doing this? because that is what will happen.I would do a lot more research, I know there are turbo mr2 out there I think you would be a lot better off finding one set up that way already, than spending 10 grand fixing up the one you have, good luck though it should be a fun ride.
