The coolant (mixture of water and concentrated coolant agent) is forced fed to circulate along the water channels in the engine block, especially around the combustion chambers to draw away the intense heat from the engine. The super hot coolant is drawn out of the engine via the hoses , metal pipes to the radiator to be cool down before re-enter the engine. While vehicle is moving, the air help to cool down the engine. However, if is stationary, the electric fan is turns on automatically to help to maintain the right operating temperature. Too high a temperature, will resulted in stalled engine and certain components damaged. Replace the coolant once every two year and ensure the coolant is always within the upper and lower limits.
