Hello Carson!
Changing any one of the bulbs on your Toyota Corolla is one of the most rudimentary maintenance jobs that you can perform. You need one or two #3157A replacement bulb(s) for the job, depending on how many of your turn signal bulbs are burned out. Here is a quick procedure for changing the front turn signal bulbs on a '09 Corolla:
1) Shut the Corolla's engine off and engage the emergency brake for added safety. Also, make sure its headlights are switched off.
2) Open the hood using the primary and auxiliary hood release latches.
3) Locate the turn signal bulb socket on the inside of the engine compartment. The socket is right behind the signal lens cover.
4) Turn the signal bulb socket counter-clockwise to remove it from the assembly.
5) Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket and replace it with the new bulb. Dispose of the old bulb.
6) Test the new bulb to make sure it works before replacing the assembly and closing the hood.
Cheers!
