The 2001 Camry came with either 15" or 16" wheels depending on engine and level of trim. Recommended sizes are P205/65R15 and P205/60R16 respectively. Name brand all season tires of either size will run about $125-200 each once you add in mounting, valve stems, balancing, road hazard warranty, and taxes. There are often rebates or other deals to be had when buying 4 instead of only 2.
A good dealer will insist on installing the new tires on the rear wheels if you are only purchasing 2 and usually won't charge you extra to rotate the existing rear tires to the front. He's looking out for your safety since doing so will lessen the likelyhood of the car fishtailing during a panic stop. It's not a ploy to sell more tires.
Don't overlook the wholesale membership clubs (Costco, BJ's, and Sam's Club) when choosing a dealer. They have decent prices and excellent deals on mounting, lifetime balancing, rotation, and road hazard packages. You may save more than enough to cover the cost of a year's membership.
