How to install aftermarket radio in 2000 Toyota Sienna?

I'm a little pissed because I spent the last hour and a half trying to install my single din Pioneer aftermarket radio into my moms 2000 Toyota Sienna. REALLY REALLY pissed now..































I bought everything that the guy at bestbuy said I needed...































The radio,















The dash kit,















wiring harness































all the right and compatible with the van.































doing the install, the dash kit was wrong.. it didnt even fit in the frickin van? the one i bought was a return dash kit (someone returned it) the guy said it was ok and all the right parts are in there. i took his word for it and now i regret his stupid ass.































the dash kit seemed like it had the parts to be installed in a lexus or nissan not a toyota.































but on to the electrical, i still tried to install but the wires didnt match up? the wiring harness doesnt fit in the pioneer? is it supposed to? and the wires dont match up from the van and the pioneer..































did i need to buy an adapter? the guy at bestbuy didnt say i needed to.. im just soooo pissed im trying to calm down but this is something so frickin simple that has become a struggle..

The harness kit you have should connect to the harness from your cars, what you need to do is figure out which wire goes to what. The best way is to google the make of the harness and the stock harness in your cars. Read what each wire stand for and connect them to your stock harness. Do go by the color of the harness but what each wire mean.
