check your rear sway bar bushings. the rubber wears out after time. whenever the body and/or suspension flexes the sway bar will hit the bushing. it will cause a loud clunking sound from the rear of the vehicle.
raise the vehicle, grab the sway bar w the bushing between your hands. wiggle up and down. if it moves or if you feel it clunking, then the bushings are shot. they will need to be replaced as a set.
