my 1998 toyota camry front passenger door will open from the inside but not the outside?

Default my 1998 toyota camry front passenger door will open from the inside but not the outside?
It won't open from the outside and the door locks are all working iusing the remote. I have to make the passenger stand there until I get in and reach across to open the door. Any ideas why"

Your handle and or linkage is broken. Both handles are plastic. It's real common for those late 90's early 2000's car to do that. My mother-in-laws 02 Gallant did the same thing.
