Default will my 1995 toyota corolla drive better after having the throttle body cleaned?
it has been chugging and stalling out upon accelerating and idling on me for awhile now. i have replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator. So i decided to take it to the mechanic to have them fix it and they cleaned the throttle body and said that would do it , but now it is still dying and seem to be more frequent. it has only been a day but should i be worried that i got ripped off?















well what other suggestions are out there for fixing this car? I have a little one and need to have this thing up and running asap. the shop said that the car might "act up for a few days" on account of the cleaner they used on the throttle body, please help

Throttle body cleaning is a much-neglected bit of maintenance. It was good that they did it, but the benefits should have appeared immediately. Now troubleshooting must begin....

I have learned that when there is a real problem such as this, it is best to take it to Toyota and let them tell you what is wrong. Some things can be done by your mechanic but certain jobs require the dealer mechanic and Toyota parts. I have a 1996 Corolla with almost 299,000 miles on the engine. Hoping to get another 100,000 out of it.
