you will never know when the worn parts will fail and when you will break down. the car has more chance of not passing mot but if you buy it and service it every year from KWIKFIT not a local garage it will be fine because they do proper service and they will give you list of things needs to be changed.
I have said you can buy it and service it properly and it will be ok just because its a Toyota and I will not say this to any other car
I can't agree less with Joe. I know a fella that has a Toyota which has done 380,000 miles. It starts every morning, first time. I suppose the answer to your question is ........... don't pay tooo much for it.
I would not touch it with a barge pole because many parts are expensive and with 180k on the clock you will be needing quite a few. Just as an example, some years back i had a Toyota Carina E and the brake servo failed. A new one was 4 times the cost of a Ford one !
a 2005 -- 180,000 mile Toyota is better than a 2012 Ford with 100 miles. Trust me, my new Ford fell apart, my 12 year old Toyota runs like the day it left the dealership. Good luck
