Why is the "D" lit on my 1995 toyota camry?

Default Why is the "D" lit on my 1995 toyota camry?
Since I bought the car two years ago whenever I put the car in drive the "D" on dash was not lit up. Now recently it has been lighting up. It has happened twice within the last 6-8 months. The first time I went in for a routine oil change and when it was done it was back to normal. Now, after having just got an oil change, it is still on. The car doesn't seem to be running as well as it should be, I'm hoping it doesn't have anything to do with the trans as the car isn't worth that much to begin with. Anyone have an answer for me? After searching on the internet all I could find were discussions on how to change the bulbs for that part of the car.

Its just a loose connection that needs to be pushed in to connect..if you cant find it an auto sparky could find it in less than 5 minutes...probobly wouldnt charge you either..
