Default Toyota car designs reaching its peak?
Looking at the 2012 camry and 4runner, i must say that I like the designs of the previous generations of their respective models. The 4runner looks like a box and the camry looks like the civic. I'd never thought I'd see the day when car designs took a step backwards. What are your thoughts?

They, like a lot of other manufacturers, are waiting for somebody else to come up with a new revolutionary style change. They'll wait a model year to see if it sells, then copy if if it seems to be selling.

The new 4-runner styling is a bit boxy, but overall sweet. Cant wait until that styling is transferred into the Tacoma. But that is just an opinion, like yours.































Car designers are always going back to more popular designs, and it's been that way since the beginning of time. Designs cannot reach a "peak". It is a creative process, and I think creativity is infinite. Have you taken the time to check out the new Scion they are going to release? It is a co-op project with Subaru, and I cannot wait to see one in real life.
