How to remove the coin tray on a 2007 toyota corolla?

its a 2007 toyota corolla and I think i lost something behind it and I need to remove it. It's the tray closest to the shifter and it has wood trim on it, it's below the stereo. Please any help would be great!

Thanks Timothy! I didnt understand the "remove the screw to the shifter (there wasnt one) but I figured it out and found my item thanks

The fuse box in a Toyota Corolla is located to the left of the steering wheel behind the coin tray. Pull up and out on the coin tray to remove it.

To remove that "coin tray" you must remove the entire center console face.

Start by removing the A/C knobs from the console face behind one or two of the knobs will be phillips screws, remove. Now unscrew the top of the shifter and set aside. GENTLY pry on the outside edge of the wood trim surrounding the shifter (four "clips hold it on the corners), it will still be connected by the cigarette lighter so just move aside as much as possible without tugging on those wires. (This should gain you access to the area directly below the "coin tray" so take this time to examine, if you find you need behind the tray read on).

Now this allows you to begin to GENTLY pry around the outer edge of the wood trim containing your "coin tray" it should all pop loose now as a unit. Don't worry about disconnecting any wires as you should be able to reach behind that piece now and access anywhere your item may have fallen. Simply reverse instructions and everything should "pop" back into place.

Sadly Toyota designed it all as one piece not easier to remove individuals. I've done this multiple times as we see quite a few of the doors to those trays break.
