HELP I OWN A TOYOTA!?

Hi i have a 2001 toyota corolla i have had issues since i bought it. I have replaced o2 sensors and the catylatic converter every now and the the engine light still comes on but not for long, I think the transmission may have been bad too. My car has been riding rough i though it was the tires or alignment but today i noticed it was rough even when i was stopped or in park. I got gas today too and a few miles down the road my gas pedal stopped working and went straight to the floor when i pushed it. I the tried stopped and that worked untill i was almost stopped. My breaks then locked up and grinded . I dont know if i heard the horrible noise after i threw it in poark or before. But there was a horrible sound like something fell outta it. I turned it off and called the tow., It wont start now. HELP!

My dad says its not anything to do with the gas pedal he thinks the car actually turned off and thats why the pedal wasnt working. Hes thinking i may have gotten bad gas and the fuel pump broke. I still dont know how to explain that loud horrible noise i heard after i put it in park. I went to start the car today still not working. It turns over but not firing. I did notice a rattle from either under the hood or under the car could have nothing to do with what happen but i have never noticed that before. Any ideas would be wonderful!! Thanks.

Honestly not trying to be a jerk but I would buy almost anything BUT a Toyota due to the Pruis acceleration problem. I would see what you can get for it and buy something else.

As for your gas pedal that has nothing to do with the recall. On this year the pedal used whats called a "throttle cable" and not a drive by wire system. It's possible the cable is streched or frozen. This is not a big deal just dont drive the car get it fixed. All the crazy idling and conditions sounds like a faulty ECM.
