You don't say what year Prius. However, the streets are put in the Denso database in a certain way and that's the only way you can access them. I believe the system in the 2010 and later is more flexible.
For the 2004 to 2009 models:
You may need to enter something like N first street, North 1st street, etc. Usually the quickest way is to enter the city first, then the street name because it will show a list after you put in the first few numbers or letters.
