Default cylinder 2 misfire and black deposits coming from my exhaust?
i have a 2001 toyota celica and my cylinder 2 was misfiring. replaced spark plugs, checked for spark, so i figured i had a leaky injector. got a new one. now my CEL came back on! i thought the black deposit coming from my exhaust was excessive fuel but i dont know what to check now. any help?

Might be your coil pack that has the problem.

you said you checked for spark but didn't say if there was spark @2 plug or not.































from what i see you should have coil/ignitors atop each plug. so the issue is likely isolated to the #2 coil/plug/wire.

@ some point you may need to check compression. either way, left unchecked, it will overwhelm your cat.
