Should I buy an extended warranty for my 2011 Toyota Sienna?
I bought this van brand new from a Toyota dealership. It drives beautifully. The salesman try to scare me to buy the extended warranty. So I paid $1928 extra to get warranty through 100,000 mi or 8 years. Is it worth it or do I really need it since we all know that Toyota is one of the most reliable car in the market? The finance lady said I can cancel this warranty any time if I change my mind. She will prorated and reimburse me with refund. It is an LE model, well-equipped with almost every thing I need except GPS, DVD drop-down (which I don't need) and sunroof.
The extended warranty is outrageous. The salesman most probably scared you into getting it as he gets paid a percentage for each car sold but also an extra if you get the warranty.
Good idea because it's a POS! Everything cost $2,000 to fix so well worth it! Anytime the dealership suggest/insist you buy an extended warranty they KNOW it will break down!
