Passenger vehicles all get best mpg at 35-36 psi. You can go to the max (usually 40psi) stamped right on the tire, but your ride will feel like a brick on a roller skate. Anyway, that max pressure is only for giving the entire football offensive line a ride home. Also, that max psi means a shorter life for your struts. Stay with the 35-36. If you want noticeable mpg improvement, then drive with your ears. Ears detect both sound and motion. The idea is smooth sound and smooth motion. Your ears are far better than any tach meter.
