Default Toyota supra questions ?
i want a Toyota supra ...although i know a lot about cars i was a kid when that car was around so i was wondering , how much would each version cost now ? and how much BHP does the regular and twin turbo one put out ????? and as a car fan would you recommend it as a nice rear wheel drive car ?

With reference to the 93-98 Supra the naturally aspirated engine was about 225 HP. The twin turbo was 320 HP. the boost and fuel can be turned up to get 450-500 HP pretty easy. some versions have been tuned to 1000 hP. I think they are pretty rare - probably because many have been crashed and totalled. if you can find a good turbo - it might cost 50k. Original new price was in the 40's. Non turbos can probably be had for 10-15. BTW there are lots of internal differences to the turbo engine. You cant just slap a turbo on the NA engine. The turbo engine has hi cap oil pump to cool the turbo and provide oil to piston Cooling oil jets Cam profiles are tailored to the turbo operation as is the compression ratio.
