...to putt, putt.? My check engine light started flashing and my car is putt putting. What could be the problem?

sounds like fuel. maybe the engine is not getting enough fuel or the cat. is getting clogged up. have the codes ran on it.

What part of "check engine" has you confused? Are you that simple? Do you really think anyone can tell you what your car needs based on "putt, putt"? Stop being a complete idiot for a moment. Check the engine. No Idea how? Take it so someone who does. Run along.

the fuel answer sounds good, but also look at the Oxygen sensor. They can make an engine act weird.















also have the timing checked. If its the 4 cylinder, its probably a no interference engine(a great thing) and it can make life difficult.

A flashing MIL on an OBDII car means a catalyst damaging misfire is occuring, IE unless you want to risk having the catalytic converter melt down or get so hot it sets something on fire, don't drive the car like this.































Catalytic converters are always murdered by something, they never die.































You need to have the codes scanned to find out which cylinder(s) is/are misfiring and have it fixed.
