What Toyota years and models catalytic converter exhaust systems are identical to a CA car...

...2001 Tacoma? Help! I have a California 2001 Toyota Tacoma 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder motor that had about 5 feet of the exhaust system cut out. The dealer told me it would run $2000 for all the parts (2 cats, O2 sensors, harness, etc). I am hoping to find a donor Toyota that uses the same pieces and put them in.































What years of CA Tacoma trucks are the same? Are there any other models that would also work? The dealer was not helpful in providing me with an answer...

finding donors is probably not easy. Finding aftermarket parts is probably much easier, although I doubt your dealer will want to install them. Maybe a local technician will though. Check BEFORE buying. (unless you can do the work yourself)































You say California. But there is a difference between CA emissions and if you live in CA. Many vehicles are CA emissions, but this is not necessarily the same as CA legal. CA has it's own set of stricter laws.































If you live in CA, try this site. Good for information and they probably sell your converter(s), provided your Tacoma's EFN # matches their catalog.
