Toyota corolla side driver side's mirror fell off?
I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla CE with non-power side mirrors. Today when my boyfriend was driving on the freeway my car the mirror on the driver side fell off. Just the mirror, not the whole holder thing. I was wondering if this was something I could fix by myself or if I need to take it to a mechanic? Do I need to replace the whole mirror holder thing, or can I just buy the mirror and screw it into the holder that is on the car somehow? I knew there was a reason why I don't like people touching my stuff! Thank you for any advice you guys have!
It's easier to replace the whole mirror rather than just the glass. Check out your local salvage yards. You can pick one up for a lot cheaper than from a Toyota dealership, and if you're nice to the workers they might even put it on for you.
