you should always let your vehicle warm up for 30sec to 1min before you drive, to make everything gets lubricated.
if it's cold outside you should warm it up for several minutes, up to 10 or 15, depending on how cold it is. whenever oil is cold, it is thick and will not get in all of the tight places, which could cause them to weld together. oil has to heat up to properly lube your engine
always let it warm up. no matter what vehicle you have or how old it is. it will put a lot of wear and strain on the engine if you don't.
