none of what you describe is normal. not up on auto lock or ADD systems, and it *maybe* a simple fix. but it's causing serious problems. binding in the drive train. you can break locking hubs and axles.
take it in to a shop, using only 2WD high, or what ever selection doesn't cause your issues, and have the codes pulled. your tundra should be new enough to have diagnostics associated with the auto lock system.
