Default is a 650 cca baterry ok?
i have a 98 buick park ave the baterry i have in right now its a 710 cca, which im looking to replase. i just picked up a brand new interstate baterry for 60 bucks but its rated at 650 cca...would that make a diference at all? battery was and is a really good deal!

You mean the one you have WAS 710 cca. As a battery ages it looses cold cranking amps so 650 cca on that older car will work fine.

i show 700cca as the minimum for this platform (though i don't have your engine option). you already have it, so go for it. if you typically have cold start issues (not bat related) it might be lacking.















you'll know more when winter sets in. if 650 isn't enough, that's when it will tell you.
