How do you pull off the rear brake drum on a 2010 Toyota Corolla?

Default How do you pull off the rear brake drum on a 2010 Toyota Corolla?
I've attempted repairing the brake pads on my 2010 Toyota Corolla and the from pads were real simple. I thought since it is a 2010 it would be just as simple in the rear but they look totally different. I'm not sure if the rear brakes are drum or disc. They look like drums. My problem is that I don't know how to remove whatever is there behind the tire to access the brake pads. Can someone help please?

remove the tire,if its drum brake shoes,release the hand brake and see the file in the source,if its brake pad so its like the front one.

Sounds like you want to do it yourself and save alot of money. Stop by your local auto parts store and buy yourself a repair manual for your car. In there it will tell you what you need to know and you will have it for future use.

when looking at your rear drums, there are two holes opposite each other. use a screw and screw through those to pop off the drum... but if you have never done drums before, be very careful.. .only do one side at a time so you can look at the other for reference, be sure the springs go back the same way taken off.
