my toyota yaris's ac stills cools when turned off?

Default my toyota yaris's ac stills cools when turned off?
the ac light goes off, the cooling temps warms up some but it does not really warm up for more than a half hour. this only happens when the vent knob is turned to the defrost position.















what is going on?

You may have to turn the car off and back on.

Pretty much every vehicle built in the past couple of decades runs the A/C when the controls are set to defrost to help dry the air and make the windshield clear off faster, this is normal behavior if it is set to defrost and the temp knob isn't set all the way on hot, or the engine coolant hasn't warmed up enough to provide cabin heat.
