my 1998 totyota celica has cold start issues, but once its warmed up for a couple of minutes...

Default my 1998 totyota celica has cold start issues, but once its warmed up for a couple of minutes...
...it runs fine,why? at first its starts but dies immediately, i try again then step on the throttle and starts but wont idle on its own, any suggestions?

That is a tough call, there are several things that it could be.































It sounds like you have a bad IACV (sometimes called idle control valve). This is, essentially what keeps the car idling, but they don't often get better when it warms up.































Have the codes read on the vehicle, and it might give you more direction.































It could also be a vacuum leak, or a engine temperature sensor.
