86 Toyota 22re Problems?

Default 86 Toyota 22re Problems?
I've got an 86 Toyota pickup with 22re. It recently had brand new head, all timing components, and new water pump and all gaskets. Truck has been running good. Valves still ticked or whatever but ran great. I've only drove it about 2k miles but today it got hot on me. I parked truck let it cool off and checked fluids water about 1/2 gallon low and oil about 1/2 quart low. I let cool off and started engine and let it idle for about 15min and it didn't get hot. After turning off engine i removed dipstick and it made like a steaming noise but no steam and dipstick looked dry but after re-entering oil level was good and no water appeared to be there. Also notice oil on bottom left side of motor seems as an oil pan gasket leak though? Any advice?

That doesn't sound good. Could be a bad valve job or the headgasket wasn't installed properly. Was the steam sound coming from where the dipstick was or from the reservoir? You might also have a leak or even air in your cooling system. Sounds like you might have a coolant leak. Oil pan gasket leak needs to be taken care of though.
