is $3500 a good price for a 1993 toyota camry?

only down side is it has 249,000 miles on it, but it rides smooth has lifetime warranty on the parts, new brakes and i can always take it back to the guy for him to fix if something goes wrong and only pay for labor. The used car dealer bought it at an auction and did some work to it. is it worth the money, should i buy??

Shop around because that seems high regardless of any warranty on some misc parts. that deal does not sound like it is going anywhere fast so you have time to compare other camrys for sale in your area.

Yo don't really say where you live , if they use salt on the roads in winter , under body condition etc.

You don't say if owner has all maintenenece reciepts and if? it was properly maintained ?

I would say from what you say that that car should sell for no more than $1000.00-$1500.00

I would pay a good mechanic to check it out if you are willing to pay that much for it before!!!! you buy it.

I think that price is on the high side with that mileage and the fact it was sold at auction.......I would get ti checked out by a DIFFERENT mechanic just to be sure...

A 2003-2004 Camry with 249,000 miles maybe but not a 1993. My mother in law bought a 1993 Camry LE 4 cylinder with all the options (including alloy wheels and sunroof) back in 2004 for $3500 with 165,000 miles on it. She bought hers at a used car dealer as well. Regardless of what was invested, the car is really only worth $1500 at best.
