Excellent choice for a first car if you don't live where there's a lot of snow. I used to own an 82 and still own an 89 turbo. Both with the 5 speed. I wouldn't have it any other way. My 89 turbo is modded with an hks exhaust system, a kn filter and stage 1 act clutch. With boost crank to 10psi, it puts a smile on my face every time I get to drive it. It's been in storage for the last couple years, awaiting a jdm 1jzgte or 2jzgte. Hope you stick with the supra. You'll have a fun time driving it.
