sensor and changed the air'? I changed the air filter. This is a 2001 camry le v6

I have a code reader myself AND had Auto zone do it already. The code said it was the oxygen sensor. What dealer will turn off the code?

Go to Autozone & have them read the code. You should have done that first.

have the dealer or mechanic switch off the fault indicator

You'd probably have to go to a mechanic or a drive-thru oil change place and they can hook up the code-reader for your car. Depending on what is wrong, they should be able to get a specific code that will tell you what needs to be done. Usually the drive-thru places do it for free. If nothing else they can cancel the code so it doesn't turn on until something else misfires. Good luck!

to clear stored codes,

pull 15amp EFI main fuse for 30secs. key off.

if it still lights, there's still an issue or the ecu is in question.

OBD2-should have two o2 sensors. b4 and after the cat.

it should also be noted that codes pointing to sensors, do not necessarily mean a sensor itself is bad. sensors should be tested. checked good, then the environment or components it monitors should be questioned.

Just because the scanner said O2 sensor does not mean the sensor went bad. It is just letting you know the the ECU is receiving unusual information from it. An O2 code can also mean a Catalytic problem or even an exhaust leak. You should not self diagnose unless you have completely make sure everything else is running correctly. There is also a test you can do to the O2 sensor to verify it is what is bad. This test varies from manufacture which should be researched.
