What is wrong with my Toyota's headlight?

Default What is wrong with my Toyota's headlight?
I have a 2004 Prius. A month ago the Driver's side headlight turned pink. I was going to get it replaced, but then it turned back to the normal color. Now, a minute or so after I turn on the headlights, the Driver's side headlight turns off and won't come back on.















Is it a bad headlight or a bad connection?

I would try replacing the headlight and if you do then replace both headlights at the same time. Yes it could be a bad connection but unless you have changed your headlights in the last several years, then it is probably a filament going bad in the one light and when it heats up then it loses contact. If that is the case then the other bulb will not be far behind, so that is why you should change both bulbs at the same time.

The bulb needs replacing. Unlike filament bulbs, the HID headlights form an arc. When the bulb starts to burn out the arc doesn't always complete. A source of bulbs is: http://http://oembulbs.com/
