Default Toyota RAV4 Doesn't go over 20mph.?
I haven't driven My car in 8 months. My 2006 RAV4 doesn't go over 20mph. What can this issue be? Also, the indicator lights are mostly on. "VSC", "Check Engine", and "wet ground".

It's on limp mode. You have to take it in for some serious service.

Your engine management centre ( the computer) has detected a serious problem and put the car into a safe mode to enable you to get the car to a safe place so that you can get it recovered to a garage.































If all your lights are on (disco dashboard) it could be the engine management centre ( sometimes called an ECU) itself which is going wrong. If the car has been standing for a while it's worth disconnecting the battery, make sure it's fully charged and reconnect it, which will effectively " reboot " the system.































Either way prepare your self for a big bill, and then if it's trivial you will be pleasantly surprised.

in first instance disconnect then reconnect battery. could be a faulty sensor, corroded electrical connector. if there was no problem before u stored the car it must be a storage related problem.

Bring it to the dealer. It's stuck in limp mode and there is a serious problem with something. Most likely a failed sensor.
