It does not get good gas mileage. It has the aerodynamic efficiency of a barn, is very heavy, and is comprised primarily of 1950s-era technology. On the other hand, all that extra weight is because it's completely over-built. And that old technology, while spartan in amenities, is very reliable.
In stock form, that Land Cruiser should get 14-16mpg assuming it's tuned well and the carburetor is in good shape. Taken care of, it should continue to get 14-16mpg virtually forever. There are lots of people still running stock 2F motors with 400,000+ miles.
