Default Toyota FOUR runner question?
my engine motor is fry, because no oil.. now i found a older engine.. but its standard.. mind is automatic.. would there be a big differents?.. plus i was told fix crank bare ring is not a easy job.. i love my 1993 4 runner.. this all i can afford.. but part is rebuild is cheaper.. but hard to fix! what should i do.. rebuild. or put in use one.

the only thing different between the auto and manual is the manual has a brass insert where the flywheel and torque converter bolts up. remove it and drop it in. takes about 5 min. to remove. just make sure it's the same size engine and the electrical stuff is the same since it is coming out of an older vehicle.
