Default 2000 toyota tacoma 4x4 , when i turn key to kill engine- it will not die help?
after started , when i turn key to kill engine- it will not die. just keeps trying to restart when key is in off position- i had to unhook battery to kill engine. help pls.

Could be fuel cut off pump switch faulty or any other switch thats what iv heard through similar experience

the ECU may have a code stored on this. per book, not all codes stored prompt a light.















when you're done, pulling the 20 amp EFI main fuse for 30 secs, key off, resets the ECU. located JB #1.

it's important that you take it out for a non-aggresive run that includes hwy speeds after ECU reset. it needs to gather new base line parameters.]

My son says it might be a bad ignition switch. You may have to change it
