No - why would that be so? Only one 2003 Corolla issue was investigated by the NHTSA, and it resulted in a recall. The front windows were susceptible to shattering while driving due to loose hardware... but the investigation noted the shattering only occurred if the window was repeatedly operated after it began making a loud noise.
I think they're dangerous just like civic drivers are dangerous: small cars with a bit of power, so you all dart in and out of traffic. And, you people have small cars and if you stop right in front of me, I'll roll over you.
It is not the car that is dangerous....its is the driver that makes it dangerous!
Fail to check on the mechanical condition of his/her car, thinking a more than 10 years car can still remain in prime condition with proper maintenance.
I haven't heard anyone say it was unstable on the freeway. Then again, I don't hang around with people who spend no money on their cars and then wonder why problems develop.
