Add stuff to a 2007 Prius?

Default Add stuff to a 2007 Prius?
I am getting a 2007 prius, i was just wondering if i could add the satellite radio and navigation into the main screen on the dash?

You can but it would be more expensive than gettign aftermarket.















you will need a new screen and that runs about $1200, then you will need the DVD player for the Nav, the harness and labor to install.















If you want one with Nav and Satellite then get one.

Assuming you're going to have this car for a while, why not just pay a little extra to get what you want? Navigation systems in cars can be expensive when buying new, but used you may only get charged an extra couple hundred. Search and wait until you find exactly what you want, or you won't be completely happy. Just my opinion.

That a "no" for the navigation. There are just too many things to change such as the wiring harness, steering wheel, and centre display. It would be cheaper to buy a new car. The satellite radio is not too expensive to add. Look for a Prius that already has those installed.

There are limitations, but the guys at the source have the most comprehensive Prius add-ons available. They have been doing this since the Prius first came to America. If they don't have a way to do it I doubt anybody does. As for GPS, I have heard of one person who added it (to a first generation, I think) and it was pretty hairy. The nav system doesn't really get high marks from owners, either. I have a Garmin Nuvi and am thinking about making a housing to fit it into the MFD glare shield when I use GPS.
