i have a 2000 rav4 and having trouble with the circlip on the cv axle..?
i can't get the cv axel in with the circlip, it goes on fine without it, but no luck after 8 hours of spinning, shaking, and shoving, and still cant get it all the way in, is it true the circlip opening should face down? I don't see any markings on the cv joint itself, but see some manufacture markings on the tranny, and they seem to line up with each spot where i see skipped teeth on the inside.. also theres a white sticker on the axel, any position that should be in? i was guessing that if facing it from the passenger side, it should be at 135 degrees, between facing down and toward the front of the vehicle . please post all possible comments that may help, thanks a lot,
Ronnie
