I do feel that the difference is in the honda being more sporty and the camry was more of a touring family sedan but they were both very good cars, I would think that the camry would be longer with more interior room and trunk space.
Comparable competing Honda and Toyota models - usually the Honda is a little smaller overall. Usually the engine was a little smaller in displacement as well. It appeared that Honda was opting for better economy and handling. The Honda engines were generally tuned to higher - more sporty output as well. Witness their popularity with the tuner cult.
